Site Search Team Roles/Offerings 

The site selection team is responsible for assisting our industrial manufacturing clients in finding an ideal location for their next major project. This work is very collaborative and dynamic, with the roles and tasks changing for each site and client all pacing towards framing up one-time and ongoing costs for our clients. These projects are both highly confidential during development and high-profile after public announcement, usually with media references as we are working with the public sector to support industrial development in targeted regions of the states.  

The ideal candidate for this position has strong analytical and research experience. Creativity in finding reliable sources for geographical reference points, use of Google Maps, and national databases for; labor, utilities rates and availability, and tax assessments. Furthermore, this candidate should be able to parse the quantitative and qualitative data in excel and be able to distill and present the findings into C-suite/executive summaries.  

  • Coordination with City and State Economic Development teams 
  • Review sites for utility infrastructure and constructability characteristics 
  • Preliminary review of environmental challenges 
  • State tax assessments 
  • Labor analysis 
  • Coordinate with property owners, real estate brokers, economic development personnel, utility providers, and local AHJ 

Previous Experience 

  • Familiarity working with municipal operations, permitting, ordinances, zoning, taxation, and land use 
  • Strong communications background; able to multitask and keep confidentiality while coordinating with external teams 
  • Significant experience in reviewing industrial properties and supporting land transactions 
  • Research or analytical background strongly preferred 
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functionality 
  • Multidisciplinary background; ability to communicate with diverse technical subject matter experts and communicate      pertinent information to a general audience 
  • Familiarity with building, construction, project management background preferred 

Travel Requirements

Willing to travel 15%
