Entry Level Staff Accountant
Dennis Group is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to be based in our Duluth GA office.
The Staff Accountant reports to our Accounting Manager and will be responsible for processing high volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including client invoicing of labor, expenses and construction costs, in an accurate and timely manner.
Other significant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- General ledger reconciliations
- Timesheet and employee expense report review and processing
- Project analysis and reporting
- Financial statement preparation assistance
- Other ongoing miscellaneous accounting tasks as needed
About You
- Preferred BA/BS degree with accounting/finance emphasis or accounting experience in a business environment
- 1-2 staff accountant internship experiences preferred
- Solid understanding of basic accounting process
- Experience in General ledger journal entries, Project cost reconciliation and reporting, Financial statement preparation assistance
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Positive and proactive attitude as well as an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
